Cancellation Policy

Day tours cancel free up to 24 hours before. Every other case is set out below.

If your plans change, get in touch before you cancel — moving the date is usually possible, and we would rather do that. The rules below apply when it is not.

Day tours, excursions and entry tickets

  • Cancelled more than 24 hours before the start: refunded in full.
  • Cancelled within 24 hours: no refund.
  • Not turning up: no refund.

Airport transfers and private cars

  • Cancelled more than 12 hours before pickup: refunded in full.
  • Cancelled within 12 hours: 50% is charged.
  • Not turning up: charged in full — unless your flight was delayed or cancelled, in which case the delay costs you nothing.

Multi-day holidays

  • More than 30 days before you arrive: refunded in full, minus a $50 administration fee per person.
  • 30 to 15 days before: 25% of the total is charged.
  • 14 to 8 days before: 50% of the total.
  • 7 days or fewer: 100% of the total.

Nile cruises

The cruise operators set these terms, and we apply them exactly as they do.

  • More than 45 days before departure: refunded in full, minus a $75 fee per person.
  • 45 to 30 days before: 25%.
  • 29 to 15 days before: 50%.
  • 14 days or fewer: 100%.

Busy seasons

For trips that fall between 20 December and 6 January, or over Easter and Sham El Nessim, each band of the holiday and cruise scales above starts 15 days earlier.

If we cancel

Unless the reason is a payment you did not make, you get all of your money back, or an equivalent alternative if you would rather.

A balloon flight or boat trip called off because of the weather is refunded in full or moved to a new date, free.

How the refund reaches you

Back to the payment method you used, 5 to 10 working days after we confirm the cancellation. A bank transfer may take longer, depending on your bank.

How to cancel

Email info@egyptcitytrip.com with your booking reference, send a WhatsApp message to __PHONE__, or cancel in your account. We go by the time your message was sent.
