Overview
It sounds impossible and it is not. Domestic flights leave Cairo before dawn for Aswan, connect straight onto the 45-minute hop to Abu Simbel, and have you standing in front of the colossi of Ramses II by mid-morning. After the two temples you fly back to Aswan, take in Philae or the High Dam depending on your timing, and return to Cairo in the evening.
Everything is escorted: a representative meets you at each airport, your guides are waiting airside, and all four flight segments plus transfers are held under one booking. It is the only way to see Abu Simbel from Cairo without an overnight.
