Tell us your flight number when you book and we track it. If you land late we move the tour, shorten it or reschedule it at no extra cost.

In the autumn of 1942 the Eighth Army stopped Rommel's advance at a railway halt in the Western Desert, and the war in North Africa turned. El Alamein today is a quiet stretch of coast holding three immaculate cemeteries — Commonwealth, German and Italian — and a museum with armour, small arms and dioramas from both sides.

The Commonwealth Cemetery holds 7,367 graves in ordered rows facing the sea, and the site is maintained to an extraordinary standard. Guides can locate an individual grave in advance if you send us a name when you book.
